Nature of Course
The update includes coverage
of a wide range of basic and clinical aspects of General Nuclear
Medicine, Pediatric Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology,
Molecular Imaging (PET/CT) and Radionuclide Therapy. The lecturers
include several physicians and scientists of International
standing and reputation who have extensive experience in diagnostic
and therapeutic nuclear medicine. The coverage will also include
overviews of radiopharmaceuticals and instrumentation/computer
methodology - including cyclotrons.
Purpose of the Update
The update is organized to provide
theoretical and practical training to nuclear medicine physicians
in selected areas of nuclear medicine. On completion of the
update participants are expected to:
- have a general overview of the
current trends in General Nuclear Medicine
- have a general overview of the
current trends in Pediatric Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear
Cardiology
- understand the basic principles,
protocols and applications of PET, PET/CT, SPECT/CT in routine
clinical practice
- learn and update their knowledge
on some of the established and new trends in radionuclide
therapy

Qualifications
The course is intended for practicing
nuclear medicine physicians. Interested candidates are encouraged
to submit their applications online. The course will be held
in English and no translation of any kind will be provided.
It is expected that the interested candidates would have good
understanding of English language and have no difficulty following
the lectures and expressing them in this language.
